🥧 PIE DAY TOMORROW! 🥧

Kia ora e te whānau,

Just a little reminder that tomorrow is PIE DAY at kura! 😋🥧

There will be NO regular lunches delivered tomorrow, as we are having a special Pie Day instead.

And the best part… the pies are FREE! 🎉🙌

Every tamaiti will get a yummy pie for lunch — so no need to send lunch tomorrow unless your child would like something extra.

Get ready for some pie-licious goodness! 😂🥧❤️

Just a quick update on the tangihanga plans.

We have been informed the ETA to Pukehina marae has now changed to 2pm.

This will push our schedule time out a little so therefore;

Details are:

Leave Kura at 1:00pm to wait the arrival of Kui Hinepo at 2pm

Note:  The whaikōrero and formalities may go on for more than an hour, which may mean we are returning after 3pm.

We will keep in contact with our front office at any changes of times whilst we are out there.

If you need to collect your child earlier due to other reasons, please let us know.

Kua waipuke te motu i ngā roimata o te puna aroha mō tō tātou Whaea/Kuia Hinepo Tibble (Whaea Hiria's mum)

Haere, moe mai okioki rā e Kui i te torona o Ihoa.

He pānui anō e tuku atu ki ngā whānau/tauira o te tira haere.

It is with great sadness that we receive news of the passing of our Whaea/Kuia Hinepo Tibble (nee Wiliams).

Our Aroha goes out to Whaea Hiria and her whānau at this time.

Tomorrow a representation of 40 tamariki, kaiako and whānau will travel to Pukehina Marae tomorrow to pay our respects and to give comfort and tautoko to our Principal Hiria Tibble who has lost her Mum early this morning.

We will be leaving Kura at approximately12-12:15pm tomorrow travelling in the Kura Van and Kaiako Private Vehicles. Koro Kahi Hanara will be our respective Kaumatua for this occasion.

We ask tamariki to be wearing black/dark grey/Navy Blue and shoes and a warm jacket, as the wait time could be long. Year 5,6 girls can wear a black skirt if they have one.

If you are able to come with us and provide transport, please let Whaea Koha know in the morning.

If your child has an appointment and can't travel with us, please let us know as soon as you can.

Details are:

Leave Te Kura o Maketu: 12 -12:15pm

Estimated Time of Arrival of Kui Hinepo to Pukehina Marae: 1-2pm

Estimated Time of Return to Maketu Kura: 2:30-3:00pm

NOTE: In these situations there can be delayed plans, please be patient if the above times are slightly delayed.
