Te Kura o Maketu is a small rural school nestled in the beautiful coastal settlement of Maketu. We cater for Years 1 - 6 tamariki. We have a junior (Takaparore) and a senior (Ōkurei) class, alongside our rumaki (Tūterangiharuru) class. Our current roll is approximately 50 tamariki. Our staff are experienced and passionate educators who are committed to ensuring each child reaches their potential. |
Our vision is to make Maketu School a learning place of renown - Kia tū rangatira ai.
Our mission is to encourage our tamariki to be confident, engaged life-long learners by implementing opportunities for all to reach their full potential both academically and culturally.
Values are deeply held beliefs about what is important or desirable.
It is by holding these values and acting on them, that we can learn and thrive together within our kura, whanau, and our community.
