1. Neurodiversity in Action (1:30 pm – 3 pm) Practical classroom accommodations and the "Neuro-Affirming Classroom"
ORS students often have "extreme or severe difficulty" with social communication and learning. This session focuses on shifting the environment to fit the student, rather than forcing the student to fit a rigid mold.
Impact: Manaakitanga (respecting others), this session helps kaiako create an inclusive space where neurodiverse tamariki feel they belong.
